Visas
All conference participants must possess valid travel documents and each person is responsible for arranging their own visa, as per the applicable laws of Italy.
The organisers strongly recommend that all participants check, as soon as possible, the rules for entering Italy that are applicable to them. More information about Schengen is available here.
If necessary, the organisers will ensure that visa letters for those participants who need one.
Travelling & The pandemic
On April 2, Italy reopened its borders. Inbound travelers are required to show one of the following:
Negative PCR certificate from a testing laboratory for a COVID-19 test taken no later than 72 hours before arrival.
Certificate of completed their vaccination (i.e., 14 days have elapsed since the last dose required) and hold a vaccination certificate recognised in the EU (Pfizer BioNtech, Moderna, Astra Zeneca/Oxford, Novavax, Johnson&Johnson/Janssen).
Pandemic-related restrictions
From 6 August the "Green Pass" certification proving the vaccination, rapid test or negative PCR carried out in the previous 48 hours or a certificate of healing in the previous six months is mandatory for access to various events including conferences and Congresses (but also outdoor shows, swimming pools, gyms, fairs, competitions, theaters and cinemas) as well as to sit at tables indoors in bars and restaurants.
It remains possible to consume at the counter or outdoors.
